Life has led me on a meandering path to get me where I am now. After graduating high school with the award of Outstanding Senior Artist, I quickly found myself in the U.S. Army. Three years of military service gave me the opportunity to see places like Hawaii, Japan, and Korea. After leaving the service, I returned to college and received my Associates Degree in Art. Life intervened again and I was married with a beautiful baby girl. In 2000, at the age of five, my daughter Selina lost her battle with cancer. Every aspect of my life fell apart. To remake myself, I learned the art of tattooing and was lucky enough to fall in love again. From that, I now have a beautiful wife and son, have illustrated five picture books, and written my first novel. I am a firm believer that how we respond to life experiences, good and bad, make us who we are and provides examples to others. How we overcome our mistakes and failures speak louder than the triumphs we attain. The mistakes and corrections got us there.
